Day 1: Munich
Upon arrival in Munich, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. (Overnight in Munich)
Day 2: Munich
After breakfast, use your included hop-on, hop-off bus tour ticket to explore the sights of the city including Marienplatz, National Theatre and the Hofbrauhaus. Get on and off the bus as many times as you like and learn about the history of the city from the informative commentary onboard. In the afternoon, you have an included two-hour walking tour of the city taking you to sights such as the Glockenspiel and Frauenkirche Cathedral. After visiting the Hofbrauhaus beer hall you will head to the stunning English Garden.
Day 3: Munich to Salzburg
Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then take the train from Munich to Salzburg. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. This afternoon, you will enjoy a Sound of Music Tour! The film is one of Salzburg's most famous exports, and there is no better way to see the sights and filming locations than with an experienced tour guide on a fun, themed coach. Day 4: Salzburg
Enjoy an additional day discovering Salzburg at your leisure. Perhaps visit the birthplace of Mozart, now a museum dedicated to his life and work showcasing various fascinating exhibits. The city's Baroque Old Town is UNESCO World Heritage listed and dominated by the massive Festung Hohensalzburg, one of the largest medieval castles in Europe. (Overnight in Salzburg)
Day 5: Salzburg to Innsbruck
After breakfast, make your way to the station for the journey from Salzburg to Innsbruck. On arrival, check in at your hotel for a two-night stay. This afternoon Enjoy breath-taking vistas of the Austrian mountains with a round-trip cable car ride between Innsbruck city centre and the Nordkette, at the heart of the country’s nature park. Visit a cable car station designed by Zaha Hadid, then watch the ground drop away as you travel to Seegrube. Get a bird’s-eye view of Europe’s steepest ski slope, and spot climbers on the rocky face of the Karwendel. Explore the mountain at your own pace before boarding the cable car to make the return trip to Innsbruck. (Overnight in Innsbruck)
Day 6: Innsbruck
Today enjoy this interesting and varied tour where you will discover the most important sights of Innsbruck. Start at the moat, the entrance to the old town, and first explore the Gothic city centre and take a look at the Golden Roof with the late Gothic Prunkerker. Get to the imperial court church with the Hofburg, admire the city tower and finally pass the cathedral to St. Jakob. Finally, stroll through the baroque Maria Theresien Street with the triumphal gate and listen to the amusing anecdotes and interesting backgrounds on the history of the city. (Overnight in Innsbruck)
Day 7: Depart Innsbruck
