Additional Information

When To Go

  • April to June (best overall): Warm, sunny weather (64–82°F), fewer crowds than peak summer, ideal for sightseeing, hiking, swimming toward late spring, and outdoor dining.
  • September to October (best for beaches): The sea is at its warmest after summer (around 75–79°F), temperatures are comfortable (75–86°F), and the summer crowds begin to thin.
  • July to August (best for nightlife): Hot (often above 90°F), busy, and the most expensive time to visit. Great if you enjoy beach clubs, festivals, and lively nightlife, but expect crowded attractions.
  • November to March (best for budget travel): Mild winters (54–64°F) with fewer tourists and lower hotel prices. Some rainy days are likely, and swimming isn't ideal, but it's excellent for exploring historic sites like Valletta and Mdina.
